As I’m sitting here sipping on a Codigo 1530 blanco, neat of course, I can’t help but think about the major change coming in the near future for the tequila market. 

As you guys may or may not know, I work with a good amount of brands, liquor stores, bars, restaurants, and more.

That being said, I’ve gained a unique perspective on the sale trends of different brands and the overall spirits market here in the Chicago area. 

Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s going to be a good time for these luxury brands that don’t have great packaging, quality tequila, and an actual team outside of their distributor. 

The pandemic honestly spoiled a ton of these new brands who have their tequilas priced at a luxury price tag and choose to just let their social media presence carry their sales. 

That approach just doesn’t work nearly as much as it did during the pandemic!

Not enough people at home partaking in social media, personalities that resonated with particular target audiences are no longer as active or gave up their platforms. 

Along with a whole host of other reasons!
