Tequila 1519 Añejo Expression Review & Rating

Back back back again with yet another review of an amazing relatively unknown brand!

This brand is Tequila 1519 out of NOM 1577.

Today I’ll be reviewing their añejo expression for you guys and hopefully spark some interest for you guys to go out and give it a chance!

I’ll be completely honest, I can’t remember the exact price I paid for this bottle of Tequila 1519 añejo expression, but I believe it was in the $55-$60 price range.

However, I did find it online at frootbat.com for $43.99 before tax and shipping.

Not sure how legit the website is because I’ve never used them and haven’t heard of anyone talking about them, but that’s the cheapest I found a bottle online for potential order.

The price also falls in line with what I believe I bought it for from Moreno’s Liquor.

Recommended Ways To Enjoy

As you guys already know, I encourage everyone to taste their tequila neat for at least the first time trying a new one.

This one is no different!

I really enjoyed this tequila best neat, I didn’t bother trying it on the rocks but that’s because it was so delicious neat.

I did have it in a paloma (my favorite cocktail) and I believe a strawberry lemonade tequila cocktail.

Those were damn good as well, especially when I paired it with a light maduro to even out the pepper.

Rating

This one is a hard one to put an exact rating on it!

That’s mainly due to the lack of availability and ease to just pick up another bottle once the current one is empty.

The price of approximately $55 per bottle makes it a very appealing every day bottle.

But if I have to pay $22 for shipping and wait a week or so to get another bottle due to having to order it online because it’s not available at any local store…..

Then it makes me want to savior every drop that much more.

So… With all that being said……

I’d rate this a Cork & Keep bottle!

Tasting Category

Categorizing this one wasn’t that hard to do though!

It had a nice bite of pepper up front that originally had me ready to categorize it as a Pepper Bomb Tequila, but then the finish came through smooth.

On that second sip, the fresh agave shined through from then on out.

It honestly tasted like nothing but fresh agave from the second sip going forward.

Because of that, this Tequila 1519 añejo expression is categorized as an Agave Forward Tequila.
