Group Ranking- Cork & Keep

This was the featured brand of our 9/23/23 Flossmoor Tequila Bourbon & Spirits Club tasting and it did not disappoint!

We were fortunate enough to have the Lost Lore Tequila Owner, Arturo Lamas, attend the event and personally pour up samples for people to try.

Needless to say, everyone loved every single one of his expressions!

In particular this reposado expression.

Everyone constantly ranked this bottle as one to share with a smaller group of great friends and to savor overtime instead of just putting it out for everyone to drink up.

With that being the overall sentiment, it just made sense for this to be ranked as Cork & Keep!

I could not agree more with their analysis and ranking of this reposado.

Definitely a bottle that I’m only going to bring out for a select group of friends.

If you’re just an acquaintance, you may never see this bottle come out at my home!

Group Taste Category- Pepper Bomb

Everyone raved about the fresh black pepper throughout this pour from start to finish!

They stated that it was an easy medium black pepper spice that was never overwhelming but also added great flavor to blend the rest of the prevalent flavor profiles.

Other more subtle flavors they raved about were the great barrel influence the former Jack Daniels Whiskey barrel it’s aged in added to the profile, the fresh agave, and the citrus that still existed from their blanco expression.

The club just loved the tequila in general from start to finish!

TLA Taste Category- Pepper Bomb

Once again, couldn’t agree more with club members and their pick of the taste category for this reposado!

From the first time I tasted this expression I got that delicious black pepper from start to finish.

I immediately told Arturo that the spice and barrel influence completely shines bright to me and I was immediately in love with what he created!

This is a greatly complex reposado that features a complex flavor profile that gives you something new in every single sip.
