Lalo Tequila Blanco Expression Quick Review & Ranking

This latest review and ranking is going to cover a widely talked about brand amongst the tequila aficionado community.

The owner of this brand is Eduardo González the grandson of the great Don Julio González, founder and name sake of Don Julio Tequila.

His grandfather gave him the nickname of Lalo in which he went to name his tequila brand….

Lalo Tequila

I’ll be covering their blanco expression in this review and ranking.

Let’s get into it!

Recommended Ways To Enjoy

This is truly a versatile tequila!

This was one of the featured tequilas at our Flossmoor Tequila Bourbon & Spirits Club’s May 13th tasting.

I personally sipped on it neat and highly enjoyed it.

However, several others preferred it in a tequila, lime, and lemonade cocktail or a tequila, lime and club soda mix.

Other’s preferred it on the rocks.

Overall, I’d recommend you enjoy this one in whatever fashion you enjoy tequila the most.

Group Ranking- Mixer/Table Bottle

There was a good amount of mixed reviews on this one from the group!

A select few honestly didn’t enjoy it due to the spice, but the majority enjoyed it in some form or fashion.

The majority of the rankings ranged from Mixer to Table Bottle which makes me feel comfortable with my personal ranking below!

TLA Ranking- Table Bottle

In my opinion, this is the perfect table bottle that everyone can enjoy!

With the price being $49.99 before tax and shipping, cheaper if you can pick it up from a store, it’s a nice affordable option for parties and gatherings!

This is a quality enough tequila to enjoy neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail of your choosing.

I highly recommend this bottle for those who are looking for a versatile tequila to enjoy with everyone!

Online Taste Category- Citrus Bomb

Group Taste Category- Pepper Bomb/Agave Forward

The majority of the people kept pointing out the spice on the front end of each sip.

One person even described it as a pleasant sriracha pepper spice he was picking up first with a fresh citrus finish.

The online voting came in with just about as many agave forward votes as the in person pepper bomb votes.

Therefore this one received the group split tasting categories above.

TLA Taste Category- Pepper Bomb

I personally picked up a good amount of pepper/spice throughout the pour as the dominate flavor.

Fresh agave did shine through on the front end, especially when mixed in a cocktail.

On the back end that delicious citrus came through and lingered for a good time afterwards.

Overall, I enjoyed this tequila in multiple fashions, preferred it most neat though.

Check out the photos below of this bottle so you know exactly what to order ASAP!
