Back again with another Table Bottle Tuesday full written review!

This time I’ll be reviewing & rating Calle 23 Tequila/Tequila Calle 23‘s añejo expression out of NOM 1545 for you guys.

I’ll be giving all the Xs & Os in the only way I know how, from a normal guy’s perspective.

Tequila Calle 23 features three expressions in their lineup at the moment.

A blanco, reposado, and añejo, I’ve only had the añejo expression so far.

I was able to pick up a bottle of their añejo expression at a local store to me for about $60 out the door.

They did have the other 2 expressions as well so I’ll definitely be picking those up soon.

For those that don’t have it at their local store, I found it online at caskers.com for $66.99 before tax and shipping.

Recommended Ways To Enjoy

To be completely honest, I’ve only had this expression neat.

I honestly enjoyed it so much neat that I never bothered trying it in any other fashion.

I did have a couple glasses with a good plate of ribs and wings then a medium body habano cigar though! Loved it!

I do not recommend having this on ice and I haven’t had it in any type of cocktail.

However, I do think it would be absolutely amazing in a simple paloma, margarita, or some type of fancy cocktail above my pay grade and bartending skills.

Rating- Table Bottle

So if you’ve already viewed my Table Bottle Tuesday social media posts already then you’d know I ranked this as a table bottle.

Why?

Well I ranked this as a Table Bottle because of the $60 price range, the availability of the tequila (for myself at least), and it’s not a limited edition release.

I also think that with how delicious it is it’ll be pleasant for everyone to sip on.

I also wouldn’t mind not having the last pour or if someone decided to take shots or mix a cocktail with this tequila.

Taste Category- Well Balanced

The taste of this tequila is pretty damn good, in my humble opinion!

It features a nice mixture of fresh agave, balanced pepper from start to finish, subtle vanilla & agave sweetness, with a delicious spring/rain water finish.

Just fantastic in my book for the $60 price range!

With all that being said, I definitely feel like this fits perfectly in the Well Balanced Tequila category.
