Recently I was extremely fortunate enough to be invited to the Uncle Nearest dinner here in Chicago by Romano Beverages!
Now, it was just great receiving an invite to the dinner in which I highly appreciate.
To add to this great owner, Victoria Eady Butler was in attendance as well.
If you don’t know who she is then you need to do some research ASAP!
She is not only the first known black woman master whiskey blender in history, but she’s also the great great granddaughter of Nearest Green!
My mind was completely blown when I met her and finally realized who she is because just talking to her normally made me feel like I was talking to one of my aunties.
Absolutely great woman, great dinner, great time, great brand!
Check out the clip below of her opening speech to the dinner attendees and keep on the lookout for all the additional clips to come from this amazing event.
