Had to go with one of my budget friendly but damn solid pairings tonight!

Had to pour up some @maestrodobelmexico añejo out of NOM 1122, same place Jose Cuervo Tequila, Gran Coramino Tequila, and several other popular brands are produced and paired it with a Factory Smokes sweet cigar by @drewestatecigar.

Now this is definitely not a pairing for those tequila and cigar aficionados out there at all!

For those people the tequila isn’t high quality enough and the cigar is too sweet and not consistent enough from cigar to cigar.

So if you’re an aficionado without an open mind, then we all know this isn’t for you.

But for those who want a budget friendly/affordable everyday tequila & cigar pairing…..

This is an amazing pour and smoke for those looking for exactly that!

The Maestro Dobel Tequila añejo expression goes for about $36 a bottle and smoke is about $3 a stick.

Love the flavor pallet on the Dobel, no burn.

If you’re an average non bias tequila drinker and didn’t know the price you’d think you’re drinking a quality $75 bottle.

The sweet smoke also brings out the vanilla and caramel notes to enhance the sweetness of the tequila. 

Definitely an every day pour for me when considering the extremely affordable price range.

I see this as a very versatile tequila. You can enjoy this tequila in any fashion anyone sees fit from neat, on the rock, or in a cocktail.

For the $36 price tag, it definitely fits the table bottle price range and the taste will fit just about everyone’s flavor pallet.

I’d say to never gift this to an aficionado with a closed mind about tequila though and definitely never tell them you think it’s top shelf.

They will definitely ridicule you to no end!

This is a Table Bottle all day long!

It’s also one of my favorite table bottles due to that $36 price tag as stated above.

Unless you’re giving this to a closed minded tequila aficionado or someone who just doesn’t like tequila….

They’re going to like it!

Tasting Category- Dessert/Sweet

In terms of the dominate taste category……

I’d categorize this as a dessert to borderline budget well balanced tequila,

You definitely get that dominate vanilla/caramel to toasted almonds type of sweetness to it with a nice pepper through and through as the dominate flavors you pick up from each sip.

So that’s why it almost tight ropes on the boundaries if each major taste of tequila category to me.
